First, I want you to sit down in a comfortable position with your feet flat on the floor and your back straight. The trunk is round, thick, and strong—it looks like it could hold up everything around it without even trying very hard! You walk up to the base of the tree, which has been cut into by thousands of years' worth of seasons and weather patterns. You put your hand on its rough bark and feel how smooth it is against your skin—it feels warm and comforting against your palm.
As you look up into the branches above you, it's easy to see how many things grow here:
