I know you're feeling anxious right now. You're thinking about all the strangers out there who could do you harm, and how they might try to hurt you. That's normal! But it's also not helpful to let yourself get stuck in that fear, so we're going to do something about it.
First, I want you to imagine that you are standing at the top of a beautiful mountain peak with blue skies above and green grass below.
The sun is shining down on you as you take in the view, and breathe in fresh air from all directions. The air smells like pine trees and wet earth; it's warm but not too hot, just enough for you to feel comfortable in your own skin.
You can feel yourself relaxing into this space as the worries from earlier begin to fade away into nothingness; they don't matter anymore because they aren't here now anyway so why worry about them? They can't hurt us anymore if they aren't even here right now right? Right!

Once you're relaxed, picture yourself sitting in a chair in an empty room. This room represents your mind—it's where all of your thoughts and emotions reside. You aren't supposed to think about what they look like; instead, focus on how they feel when they're around you—their energy and presence in the room.
As soon as the stranger appears before you, begin counting backward from ten out loud until you reach one (or however many numbers are required). Then stop counting and take three deep breaths while picturing yourself surrounded by white light
