Now I want you to imagine that below this field of flowers there's an underground cave where all your fears live together in harmony with one another. In fact, they've been living together like this for years. They've grown up together in this cave and they're used to being around one another; they know each other well enough not to frighten each other any more—it's just part of who they are now.

This is a simple meditation that will help you get over your fear of the color purple. I'll be walking you through the process, but if at any point you feel confused or lost, don't hesitate to ask me any questions you might have.
Step 1: Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose. Exhale through your mouth. Do this three times.
Step 2: Imagine yourself standing in front of a door. It's purple, and it has a brass knob on it. The knob is warm to the touch when you place your hand on it. Breathe deeply for three more seconds as you look at that door.
Step 3: Now envision yourself walking into the room behind that door—it's a beautiful room with purple walls and purple furniture. There are pink flowers everywhere, too! This is where you feel safe from all things purple—you're surrounded by them in this room, so they can't hurt you here! Stay here for one minute, breathing deeply and imagining what it would feel like if someone were trying to force its way into this space where you feel so safe right now; how would they feel if they could see what was happening?
