Now I want you to imagine that there is a storm brewing outside. As you listen to my words, imagine yourself looking out through the window of your safe place and seeing dark clouds rolling in.
As those clouds grow darker and darker, imagine them filling up with lightning bolts, streaking across the sky as they approach your safe place. They're getting closer; they're almost here! As they get closer still, they begin to crash against the glass of your window and thunder shakes your house!
The winds howl outside as lightning continues to streak overhead. The rain pours down in sheets, pounding against the glass and creating ripples on its surface. You watch as droplets form on top of one another until they build up into great big drops that splash down into puddles below…
And then it stops! Everything goes quiet again as if nothing had happened at all
